Listening to the radio the other day someone suggested allowing the "endangered" giant panda to become extinct arguing that it has served it's purpose on earth. Initially I thought it was a ridiculous suggestion but then started contemplating.
Do human's have a moral duty to "save" all living species? What makes us think that we even can? Is the giant panda endangered because of human activity on earth? Are human's mind boggling arrogant thinking they can and must control everything? If our ancestors had saved endagered species we would be sharing the earth with dinosaurs today. I for one, do not relish the thought of strolling home from the pub late at night and bumping into a hungry tyranosaurus rex. |

If baseball bats are unacceptable, how could the slaughter be made more media-friendly?
Points will be awarded for aesthetically pleasing entries. Extra points can be earned for environmental friendliness and cost-effectiveness. With the boom in "experiential tourism", would you join a seal clubbing tour, and how much would you pay for yet another thrill of a lifetime? |

What is all the fuss about global warming? There is nothing we can do about it.
Climate change is caused by the "precession of equinoxes" and the earth wobbling on it's axis. Cutting CO2 emmissions will not make the slightest bit of difference. There have been recorded periods of warming and "ice ages" over millennia. Discuss. |
